How it Works
You’re Guided Step by Step…

Life coach kids

When kids learn how to identify and shift negative self-talk and proactively create positive self-talk, they are empowered with a foundational mindset skill for resilience and happiness that they can use for life.

Step1: Download the free Self-talk skill book with coaching story. It has 2 parts – the Mentor’s Guide with background information and coaching tips for you, and a Children’s Guide that includes the coaching story, discussion questions, and activities you can do.

Step 2: Meet with the child online or in person. (Allow an hour). Share the story, “Choosing Your BFF (Best Friend Forever) and then explore the discussion questions provided to teach kids about positive self-talk.

Step 3: Do an activity to help kids practice self-talk. For example, the Mirror Mantra activity is fun for practicing positive self-talk. Kids can choose a positive phrase, or mantra, they will say to themselves whenever they see their reflection. You can make mirrors with paper and aluminum foil, or buy a real mirror to decorate!

That’s it. It’s that simple!
