Your free coaching story is not a marketing sample. It is an actual skill book, skill book 15, from The Adventures in Wisdom Life Coaching for Kids Curriculum. 

It’s more than a story. It’s a curriculum. You receive two parts of the curriculum for skill book 15: the Mentor’s Guide with background information and coaching tips for you and the Children’s Guide with the coaching story, discussion questions, and activity to support children in building the powerful skill of self-talk.

When you review the story and watch the Overview Video, you experience firsthand:

The Coaching Kids Strategy Session is designed to be focused and personalized to you, rather than a general explanation of the program.

Requiring the Overview Video helps you see exactly what you’re getting and how it works from the comfort of your own home. This ensures that you feel confident and informed before a call with one of our enrollment advisors.

Your Strategy Session is not an information session. Your Strategy Session call is a personalized supportive conversation with a trained enrollment advisor designed to support you in getting your questions answered. 

During this session, you will:

• Clarify your goals and vision for working with children
• Explore how WISDOM Coach Certification fits into your background and experience
• Discuss package options and next steps
• Receive personalized guidance based on your situation

By the end of the call, you will know whether this path aligns with your goals, and how to take your next step.

The STORY Coaching Process is a structured, experiential method that guides children through learning, practicing, and internalizing each mindset skill. 

Every step includes a specific coaching tool from The Adventures in Wisdom Life Coaching for Kids Curriculum, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning experience every time.

S — Share the Coaching Story

Every skill begins with a coaching story that shows children how a character uses a mindset skill to navigate a challenge. Stories create emotional safety and open the door for meaningful learning for a child.

T — Talk About the Story

Guided discussion helps children explore what happened in the story and how the mindset skill applies to their own life. This is where insights and “aha moments” happen.

O — Organize an Activity

Children engage in an activity like an art project, role-playing, games, or other hands-on experiences that enable them practice the skill to deepen the learning in a fun way,

At the end of each session, we review the key learning with the parent and often the child will share what they have learned. The coach shares a WISDOM for Home take home sheet which helps parents and children continue the conversation and reinforce learning at home.

At the beginning of the next session, coaches review the previous lesson with the child to confirm retention of the skill before introducing a new skill.

The Adventures in Wisdom Life Coaching for Kids Curriculum was intentionally designed for children in elementary and middle school — typically ages 6–12+.

The goal of this program is to reach children when they are young and first begin navigating comparison, grades, competition, friendship challenges, peer pressure, stepping outside their comfort zone, and going for bigger goals.

The curriculum is written at approximately a fourth-grade reading level, and the stories and activities reflect real-life situations that children in this age range often experience.

Why start young?

Because the beliefs that shape our confidence, self-esteem, and sense of possibility often begin forming early in life. Instead of waiting until adulthood to undo limiting beliefs, this work helps children understand the power of their thoughts, learn from mistakes, build resilience, and strengthen confidence while those core beliefs are still forming.

Works with teens too.

Over time, many coaches have successfully used the curriculum with teens and even young adults.

Story-based learning works for all ages. It creates emotional safety and connection, and activates powerful brain processes that support insight and retention. Coaches who work with teens often incorporate materials from the Mentor Guides during their coaching sessions.

WISDOM Coaches have worked with children over multiple years as they learn, grow, and face new challenges and opportunities.  Sometimes it’s a refresh coaching engagement while other times, it’s a multiple-year engagement. Coaching is life-changing for children of all ages.

Coaching is a relationship-based profession.

Parents are looking for someone they trust to work with their child. Most families choose a coach because they either know the person personally or were referred by someone they already trust.

That’s why we teach networking and referrals as the primary growth strategies for finding clients. 

Inside your Business Accelerator training, you receive focused instruction on how to build your practice through genuine connection. The training guides you on how to reach out to people in your existing network, how to build relationships within your community, and how to grow through referrals in a way that feels natural and professional.

Resources include: 

• A list of who to reach out to
• Email templates for initial outreach
• Training on how to say what you do with confidence
• Training on how to have connected conversations with parents that feel authentic and comfortable – know what to do before, during, and after a call.

Many coaches begin by connecting with people they already know, networking in their community or online, and forming relationships with other professionals who serve children and families.

Networking is powerful because it builds trust, costs nothing, and creates steady momentum over time.

Certified WISDOM Coaches earn income by offering structured coaching programs to families and organizations.

Most begin with one-on-one coaching packages for children. You can also provide small group coaching or workshops in your community or online. 

You are also encouraged to offer your programs as packages that create results rather than selling single sessions. To support you with this, you receive five ready-to-use coaching package templates designed around the key areas of transformation parents are actively seeking, including: confidence, self-esteem, resilience, self-leadership, and achieving goals.  

These packages are structured to help you clearly communicate outcomes to parents, and you receive messaging guidance on how to confidently and naturally explain what each package includes and why it matters. You can begin with the proven templates provided, customize them to fit your style, and as you gain experience, create additional packages of your own.

We also provide real-world data on what coaches are currently charging across different markets. While pricing varies by geography and experience, many coaches charge approximately $65–$135 per session, with multi-session coaching packages ranging from $600 to $2,000 or more. Small group programs often range from $1,000 to $3,000+ (depending on the number of children served), and workshops may range from several hundred to several thousand dollars depending on format and audience. Your training goes into more detail about how to think about pricing for 1×1 coaching, small groups, and workshops. 

In addition to strategy, we provide mindset training around pricing, because feeling confident about your value is just as important as knowing your numbers.

Some coaches choose to build part-time practices alongside another career. Others gradually grow into full-time coaching businesses. The path is flexible, and your income potential reflects your pricing structure, the number of clients you serve, and your consistency in outreach.

As with any service-based business, individual results vary. Your success depends on your effort, implementation, and commitment to taking action. While we provide proven frameworks, tools, and support, income levels cannot be guaranteed.

What we can confidently say is this:

When you combine a structured curriculum, a clear business model, and consistent action, you create the opportunity for both meaningful impact and sustainable income.

The timeline varies and is influenced by your level of action.

Some coaches begin sharing about their new business with potential clients while they are completing their certification. By the time they complete certification, they may already have their first client or two ready to begin.

Others choose to begin their outreach after certification is complete. 

Either is fine. 

What makes the difference is consistent action.

When launching your practice, we recommend starting with one-on-one coaching. It is the simplest and fastest way to begin serving families and generating momentum. One-on-one coaching allows you to refine your messaging, build confidence in enrollment conversations, and begin creating real transformation stories that naturally lead to referrals.

To help you jumpstart your business, we share a “Launch Pricing Strategy” that you can use to offer a special incentive to the first few families that enroll their children. 

We also recommend that you follow your Success Map and start by choosing one coaching package, one outreach strategy (we recommend networking), and then repeat, repeat, repeat. 

The coaches who begin having conversations, building relationships, and sharing their services early are typically the ones who enroll clients sooner.

Success as a WISDOM Coach® involves two key areas:

Most aspiring coaches feel confident about the first, especially given the curriculum, training, and resources provided to get results with children.  

Building a sustainable business is where growth happens for many coaches.

Successful coaches tend to approach their practice with an entrepreneurial mindset. They are willing to follow a proven plan, take consistent action, and step outside their comfort zone when needed.

They understand that building a coaching practice involves:

• Clearly communicating the value of coaching
• Offering structured packages
• Showing up consistently in their outreach

Even with a clear roadmap, follow-through matters.

Running your own coaching business is also a personal growth journey. As you develop confidence, communication skills, and leadership in your own life, you model those same qualities for the children you serve.

In addition to our tools, training, and online community support, you also have the opportunity to hire an expert WISDOM Coach to work with you one-on-one in your own business if you want additional personalized support. This is not a requirement; however, coaches who have worked one-on-one with a coach have created success in their businesses very quickly.

Yes.

We offer internal payment plans that allow you to spread your investment over 3 or 4 months (a financing fee applies).

For those living in the United States or Canada with strong credit, we also partner with a third-party financing provider that may allow you to spread payments over 12 or 24 months, pending approval.

Your certification begins by going through the curriculum itself, the Mentor’s Guides and Children’s Guides including the same stories you’ll one day guide children through.

Certification is an experiential process. As you move through the 27 mindset skills using you begin internalizing the tools in a deeper way. Many coaches tell us they experience personal growth during this phase, gaining clarity, confidence, and insight into their own mindset patterns. We recommend using a journal while going through the certification process. 

And if you have children in your life, they make wonderful “study buddies”. And if you don’t, the curriculum still brings the concepts to life in a way that feels engaging and meaningful.

During this first phase, you’ll also have access to:

• A private Facebook group specifically for coaches going through certification
• Ongoing Q&A calls where you can connect with certified WISDOM Coaches

After you complete your certification, you move into the second phase. Building your business!

At that point, a full library of marketing, business, and coaching resources becomes available to you, along with structured training and tools designed to help you begin implementing your Success Map.

This two-part journey allows you to first master learn the curriculum and then confidently step into building your practice.

The certification process is delivered 100% online and can be completed from anywhere in the world.

You move through the program at your own pace, and on your own time, so there are no time zones to deal with. 

Complete your certification in your pajamas at home, in a coffee shop, or in an office. You’re the boss. You decide.

Yes.

Adventures in Wisdom is an ICF CCE Provider. You can earn 18 Resource Development CCEs when you complete the WISDOM Coach Certification Program.

We do offer additional coaching opportunities, such as opportunity to work 1×1 with an Expert WISDOM Coach, for those who are wanting personal support in their business. These services are not a requirement for being successful as a WISDOM Coach and are optional.

Your WISDOM Coach License does have an annual renewal of $297 to extend your license for another year and maintain access to the abundance of marketing/business/coaching resources, referral opportunities through Connect with a Coach program, listing on the WISDOM Coach website, Q&A calls, and private Facebook group.

This is an important question,  and the answer depends on how the term “evidence-based” is defined.

In academic and clinical settings, “evidence-based” typically refers to programs tested through formal randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with rigid, standardized delivery across all participants.

WISDOM Coaching™ is intentionally designed differently.

Children are not standardized. Effective coaching requires personalization.

Our curriculum is research-based and grounded in established principles from neuroscience, positive psychology, cognitive behavioral theory, growth mindset research, and experiential learning theory. At the same time, coaches are trained to adapt delivery to each child’s needs, learning style, and goals, which makes rigid clinical study structures incompatible with the coaching model.

Rather than standardized trials, our evidence comes from over 12 years of real-world implementation.

Certified WISDOM Coaches in more than 30 countries have used our story-based curriculum to help children build confidence, resilience, self-esteem, self-leadership, and goal-achievement skills with consistently strong outcomes.

We have extensive qualitative evidence including case studies, testimonials, and documented transformation stories from parents and children.

The program is also recognized as Continuing Coach Education (CCE) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the largest global professional coaching organization.

While we have not conducted formal randomized clinical trials, our work is firmly grounded in research and built for practical, real-world results.

Life coaching is not a government-regulated profession in most countries, and there is no universal licensing body for coaches.

However, professional standards do exist within the coaching industry.

Organizations such as the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Association of Coach Training Organizations (ACTO) promote ethical standards, continuing education, and professional excellence within the field.

Adventures in Wisdom is an ICF Continuing Coach Education (CCE) provider and has operated for more than a decade, supporting coaches in over 30 countries.

In the coaching industry, accreditation serves as a credibility marker rather than a legal requirement. When evaluating a program, it is important to consider:

• Developmental appropriateness

Professional standards, structured systems, and real-world outcomes together signal quality.

WISDOM Coaching™ is a non-clinical, educational, skills-based approach.

Coaches do not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy for mental health conditions. Instead, they teach children practical mindset skills that support healthy self-esteem, confidence, resilience, self-leadership, and achievement.

When appropriate, coaches may collaborate with parents and refer families to licensed mental health professionals if clinical support is needed.

Upon enrollment,, you receive a business-use license that allows you to deliver the Adventures in Wisdom Life Coaching for Kids Curriculum and use the STORY Coaching Process™ in live settings as soon as you complete your certification.

Live delivery includes:

• One-on-one coaching sessions
• Small group programs
• Workshops or structured youth programs

These may be delivered either in person or online, as long as you are actively facilitating the session in real time.

This is a professional business-use license for live delivery of the Adventures in Wisdom program. 

It is not a content license and does not authorize the creation of:

• Recorded online courses
• Information products
• Downloadable workbooks or digital products
• Automated or non-live training programs
• Derivative products based on the curriculum

The intellectual property remains owned by Adventures in Wisdom®, and your license ensures it is delivered as designed, in a live, human-centered coaching environment where transformation occurs.

Yes.

Certified WISDOM Coaches may reference WISDOM Coaching™ concepts in blogs, articles, or social media content, provided that you identify yourself as a WISDOM Coach or proper attribution is given to Adventures in Wisdom®.

The curriculum itself, however, is licensed for live coaching delivery and may not be republished or repurposed as standalone educational products.

Yes.

Many coaches deliver WISDOM Coaching™ within schools, nonprofits, tutoring centers, counseling practices, or other youth-focused organizations.

If you are part of a larger organization and wish to have multiple team members deliver the program we do offer a WISDOM Institution License. Contact Adventures in Wisdom for more information.

Yes. If you are part of a larger organization and wish to have multiple team members deliver the program we do offer a WISDOM Institution License that would enable multiple team members to complete training and deliver WISDOM Coaching within your organization under your organization’s license.
